My composition falls into two categories: Idiosyncratic compositions, and Gebrauchsmusik*.

Idiosyncratic compositions:  These compositions are generally complex and are mainly intended for performance by professional musicians. Some important facets of this music include the use of unusual scalar formations, the melodic line remains the central focus of the music, the texture is predominantly polyphonic and is often build around the central melodic line, contrast is utilised at all levels, and that the music is emotive.

Gebrauchsmusik: This is music written for amateur musicians, and includes liturgical music for church choirs, school and community orchestras, concert bands, jazz bands, and string quartets.
